Yes, we are still open for business and grateful for the opportunity to help our Attorney, Lender and Real estate partners complete important refinance and purchase transactions for their clients. As we continue to adapt to the ever-changing COVID-19 landscape and keep you informed, below are the most frequently asked questions from last week:
Can Two Rivers Title still perform title searches and issue title commitments?
Yes, in most counties and jurisdictions. There are some limitations, but we have access to multiple sources of data to fill in the gaps. We are also unique in that we have two In-house searchers on staff. We offer Gap Coverage for those handful of counties which have stopped e-recordings temporarily; however, as of April 9th, most NJ Counties have resumed e-recording.
Can we close?
Yes. Many of our refinance customers are opting for Drive Up or Curbside Closings! Borrowers park in front of one of our offices and call upstairs when they are ready to begin. Our notaries greet them with new pens and gloves and handle the closing without clients having to leave their car. Even more choose to stay at home, and we send someone to them! That notary remains outside the door but is available to answer questions from a socially safe distance.
Purchasers, who stay connected with their attorneys via web conferencing or FaceTime, may choose the office of their choice or drive up as well. Our closer is onsite and maintains safe social distancing, directing the closing from an adjoining room or from outside of the buyers car.
We are ready to conduct closings wherever we are needed, while observing the strictest COVID-19 prevention protocol.
